My client based on the outskirts of Huntingdon are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to provide maternity cover on the basis of a fixed-term contract of 12 months. The individual will be joining a busy team tracking and updating delivery costs and times to the internal sales team.
Monday to Friday - 9am - 5:30pm with an hour for lunch
Salary £25-28,000 depending on experience.
Start Date - January 2025.
Own transport required due to the location
The selected candidate will be responsible for key administrational duties relating to deliveries being made on time and communicating this information to the Sales teams so that they can provide excellent customer service.
Key Skills Essential:
It is essential you are proficient and confident in the use of Excel and other standard Microsoft applications.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· You must be confident in communicating by phone, making calls and informing the relevant people about the outcome of those calls
· Getting UK Freight quotes Raising POs - for transport, consumables, stationary etc Checking all invoices to ensure accuracy.
· Recording all invoices received and POs raised and reporting on costs as required
· Reporting delivery trends
· Co-ordinating with the Warehouse
· Communicating with the sales team and relevant internal staff
· Ensuring all duties in Logistics are up to date and prioritising workflows Chasing ETAs and PODs as needed Non-Conformities - ensuring they are responded to and raised in a timely manner
