  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch break)

  • £28,000 - £35,000 DOE

Here at Workforce, we are excited to be working with a dynamic team who specialise in Transport & Logistics for the entertainment industry. We are looking for a proactive and organised Operations Transport Planner to manage the double driver requirements, ensuring.


Role Overview: As a Logistics & Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the logistics of the businesses transport services. You will manage the scheduling and allocation of second drivers, liaise with travel agents, and ensure all transport arrangements meet our cost and quality standards. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will help maintain smooth operations, making you a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Driver Coordination:


    • Oversee the planning and scheduling of second drivers, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently.

    • Communicate with tour drivers to provide detailed information on upcoming assignments.


  • System Management:


    • Keep internal systems updated with driver, vehicle, and scheduling information.

    • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of records.


  • Travel Arrangements:


    • Arrange travel bookings for drivers, adhering to budget guidelines and minimizing last-minute expenses.


  • Documentation and Communication:


    • Prepare detailed job notes for drivers, including all necessary instructions and information.

    • Serve as the primary contact for double driver-related inquiries, providing clear and concise communication.


  • Agency and Supplier Liaison:


    • Manage relationships with agency suppliers, prioritizing the use of in-house staff before resorting to agency staff



Requirements:



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Knowledge of driver hours regulations and UK/European geography.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with in-house systems (training provided).

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience in transport planning or a related field.

  • Must have a geographical knowledge of Europe.
