Randstad is working closely with the Long Term Team in Newcastle to recruit a dedicated and experienced Social Worker.

Job Description:

Are you an experienced social worker with a commitment to providing long-term support to children and families?
In this role, you will manage a caseload of children and families, developing and implementing care plans that address their ongoing needs and help them achieve stability and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a caseload of children, young people, and families requiring long-term support.
• Conducting thorough assessments to understand the needs and strengths of service users.
• Providing ongoing support, intervention, and monitoring to ensure that care plans are effective and updated as needed.
• Building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with service users, families, and carers.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and family support.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in a social work role, particularly in long-term or ongoing case management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective, long-lasting relationships.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and child protection.
