Our client is an independently owned M&E Design consultancy that encompasses Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Sustainability, and 3D Revit designs, amongst other attributes. The company specialises in providing comprehensive project and cost management services to its clients in the construction industry. They are committed to delivering high-quality services that meet each client's unique needs and specifications. The company's goal is to create value and ensure successful project completion. They are now looking for an M&E Clerk of Works to join the team to work on Industrial, Chemical, Food & Beverage projects, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Hotels & Leisure, Rail and Residential projects. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic business within the North West construction marketplace.



Location:�Greater Manchester



Salary:��30,000 - �40,000 (depending on the experience)



Employment type:� This role could be either freelance or permanent. �



The purpose of the Role:




  • Conduct thorough design reviews to ensure high standards of quality and compliance

  • Undertaking inspections of construction & M&E works in progress

  • Regularly present on site, providing independent scrutiny of the works and ensuring the correct materials are used and to the correct standards.

  • Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, making them aware of any issues observed.

  • Prepare written reports with supporting photographs to a high standard and submit them in a timely manner.

  • Maintain a details progress diary, recording all factors contributing to the specific project, on a weekly basis

  • Attend and actively contribute to site meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation.

  • Monitoring the progress of building M&E operations



Required Skills & Experience




  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Qualifications /Degree.

  • Relevant construction experience and a good understanding of construction methods.

  • Understand of the RIBA Stages or other recognised construction industry delivery implementation.

  • Full UK Driving License.
