We are currently seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established and reputable engineering firm in the UK building services industry.



Position: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits & bonus

About the Company



Our client is a leading engineering and construction services provider specialising in delivering bespoke, high-quality solutions across multiple sectors, including commercial, healthcare, and industrial. With a focus on Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, they are known for their innovation, technical expertise, and customer-focused approach.



Due to an increase in demand and ongoing projects, they are seeking a skilled M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of various M&E projects.





Key Responsibilities





  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for M&E projects.




  • Conduct risk, value management, and cost control activities throughout the project lifecycle.




  • Manage contracts, including financial administration and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.




  • Work closely with the project management and engineering teams to ensure project costs remain within budget.




  • Provide regular financial progress reports and forecasts to stakeholders.







What We’re Looking For





  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, specifically within the M&E sector.




  • Strong understanding of building services, mechanical and electrical systems, and cost control principles.




  • Experience managing contracts and working with NEC or JCT forms of contract.




  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.




  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
