Overview



We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects at various sites. This is a "boots on the ground" role requiring hands-on supervision, coordination with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical installations, testing, and maintenance, along with relevant certifications and qualifications.



Key Responsibilities





  • Project Management:




    • Oversee daily site operations for electrical installations, maintenance, and testing projects.

    • Coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.

    • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

    • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.

    • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.




  • Team Leadership:




    • Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices.

    • Provide on-site training and mentoring to team members.

    • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and procedures.




  • Safety and Compliance:




    • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks

    • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance with safety regulations.

    • Implement and enforce safe working practices in medium-risk confined spaces and other challenging environments.




  • Quality Assurance:




    • Ensure all electrical work meets high standards of quality and complies with project specifications.

    • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electrical installations.

    • Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, test results, and quality assessments.

    • Work closely with quality inspectors to maintain project standards.




  • Client Liaison:




    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients on-site.

    • Provide regular updates and reports to clients and stakeholders.

    • Address any client concerns or queries promptly and professionally.





Qualifications and Requirements





  • Essential:




    • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations.

    • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

    • City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 Electrical Installation.

    • ECS/JIB Gold Card - Registered/Approved Electrician.

    • SSSTS and SMSTS certifications.
