Machine Operative

We are currently looking for A Machine Operative, ideally with previous experience using a flatbed die cutting machine. The role of the Print Operative is based in Leicester.  The Machine Operative role is a full-time role and for the right candidate the potential to go perm.  If you feel this is for you then please apply.

Pay Rate:

• £12.21 - £13.50 depending on experience.

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30.
• Friday 06:00-14:00.

As a Machine Operative you will be responsible for:

• Operate and maintain die-cutting machines according to specifications.
• Always maintain acceptable housekeeping standards to ensure a safe/clean working environment for all employees.
• Demonstrate competence in timely machine set up, minimising downtime/waste and maximising efficiencies by working effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrate ability to operate machinery at the optimum run speeds.
• Identification and reporting of engineering issues and working closely together to assist in resolving problems to minimise downtime.
• Undertake basic operator Maintenance duties in and around machine areas.
• Maintain record of production performance and downtime.
• Work with a flexible approach when required to assist with other processes in the factory.
• Comply with all Health & Safety requirements as detailed in company procedures and take an active role in achieving a zero-harm environment.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues to promote successful teamwork, in an open and honest style with a sense of urgency.

• Basic computer skills
