Night shift Saw Operator required at a location in Avonmouth, BS11
£31,401.50 per annum

Salary breakdown is £12.77 per hour basic plus £25 per day shift premium for night shift

About the role
Program saw for cutting operation.
Operating metal saw and tyro to cut material to customer requirements
Checks length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
Verifies parts are within customer required tolerances after cutting, using tape, micrometer, and caliper instruments
Marks each part with hard stamp, grain flow, USD, lot number
Ensures all cut material is on a fit for purpose pallet or skids for safe packaging
Performs daily maintenance checks to metal saw
Operates fork trucks and jib cranes when required
Ensure productivity sheets are completed each day
Performs daily housekeeping including the surrounding work area and metal saw.
The right candidate
Experience operating machinery and metal processing
Knowledge of a production facility and manufacturing processes
Comfortable with manual lifting up to 20kgs
Able to communicate with individuals at all levels
Basic mathematical skills
