Location: London, SW17 0BA

Salary: £37,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year (depending on skills and experience)

overtime = 1.5x 

Holiday: 20 + Bank Holiday 

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm 

Job Description:

Our client, based in southwest London, is a market leader in sourcing, fabricating, and installing marble, granite, and stone in London's prime residential sector. With a reputation for unparalleled workmanship, they deliver high-end interior projects for the UK’s foremost architectural, design, and construction companies.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our hardworking, passionate team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate both manual and automatic saws, as well as CNC machines.


• Work with stone materials such as marble, granite, quartz, and ceramic. Experience in construction, timber, and sheet metals is also considered.


• Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.


• Ensure great attention to detail and quality control.


• Program machines and handle bespoke ad-hoc orders.


• Operate gantry cranes and manage machine operations.


• Maintain a high level of physical fitness suitable for the job.

Requirements:

• Experience working with stone materials is advantageous, but we also consider candidates from other industries such as construction, timber, and sheet metals.


• Ability to read technical drawings and operate machinery effectively.


• Experience with graining and veins machines, Trasargo cutters, and wet saws is beneficial.


• Training can be provided for the right candidate.


• Must be able to commute or plan to relocate to London, SW17 0BA before starting work.
