Machine Operator

We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our busy machine shop team in Cumbernauld, G67.

As a Machine Operator you will be tasked with:

• Manufacturing parts and components for steel fencing and gates
• Loading material onto machine
• Set up and programming of machines including power press / brake press machine
• Working to clear work instructions and technical diagrams
• Operate a variety of different machine processes
• Programming and set up of machinery
• Use of mechanical handling equipment
• Overseeing process to ensure quality standards maintained
• Working to production targets while maintaining a clear focus on safety and quality
• Unloading material
• Carrying our minor machine maintenance
• Adhering to Health and Safety regulations
• General duties as directed by Line Manager

What you can expect:

• A day shift pattern working Monday to Thursday 6am to 4.30pm - Friday, Saturday & Sunday off every week!
• A pay rate of �12.69 per hour

• Opportunity to progress to a permanent contract

What we're looking for:

• A solid work history and a can-do, enthusiastic approach to work
• Machine operating experience within an Engineering or Machine Shop environment or transferable skills from another role
• A degree of physical fitness as some manual handling involved in job tasks
