Machine Setter Operator

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a Machine Setter Operator to work in their leading facility in Telford.
For the successful Machine Setter Operator our client is offering;

• Starting salary of £31,605 which rises as experience/competence are signed off, if you can run all processes it can rise to £41,220
• 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights, 05:55 - 18:05/17:55 - 06:05
• Permanent role

As a Machine Setter Operator your responsibilities will be:

• Operating large machinery
• Checking settings
• Ensure products meet the standard for quality
• Run the plant to standard operating procedures, which includes start-ups and changeovers
• Liaising with plant development teams for improvement on standards
• Maintain records on and hourly/daily basis, completing gap analysis
• Ensuring observable standards are achieved for the line
• Ensure safe working practices
• Support training of process staff
• Any other duties/ projects that are reasonable and within the skills and ability of the post holder

What our client is looking for in a Machine Setter Operator:

• Must have proven experience operating large machinery- ESSENTIAL 
• Proven experience quality checking products- ESSENTIAL 
• Must have a strong understanding of the principles of quality assurance- ESSENTIAL
• Experience within a food manufacturing environment - PREFERRED
• Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving
  
• Must be observant and have strong attention to detail 
• Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal
• Excellent punctuality and attendance
