💰 Pay Rate: £16.94 per hour
⏰ Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Friday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Flexible Hours After Training)
🔧 OT & Shifts Available
📅 Contract: 6 months, potential for extension/permanent

\nRole Overview:\n

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Fareham. The primary focus of this role is manual turning, swagging, and universal grinding while ensuring high-quality precision work.

\nKey Responsibilities:\n

✔ Manual turning with tight tolerances using a lathe
✔ Additional machining tasks and intricate work as required
✔ Second operation activities such as deburring
✔ Housekeeping, Lean 6S, and maintenance activities

\nWhat We're Looking For:\n

✅ Apprentice-trained manual machinist or ONC (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering
✅ Ability to work independently on manual lathes and swagging techniques
✅ Proficient in reading engineering drawings and inspecting own work
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines
✅ Awareness of Health & Safety in a machine shop environment
