Maintenance Electrician

Site based Maintenance Electrician - Newcastle upon Tyne - National Facilities Management Organisation: Retail & Commercial Real Estate
CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our national client on a permanent basis, who are a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top-tier services across various industries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, as they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
This is a static contract, based in the City Centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, with parking facilities available.
Package:

• Competitive salary between £40,000 - £43,500 per annum (depending on experience)
\n
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
\n
• Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)
\n
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

\n
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
\n
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
\n
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
\n
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
\n
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
\n
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment
\n

 
Qualifications:

\n
• Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
\n
• Holding up to date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
\n
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
\n
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
\n
