Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Wednesbury
Hours: 06:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
Salary: �15.00 - �17.00 per hour Dependant upon experience
Industrial Recruitment Solutions are current recruiting for a leading foundry within the Wednesbury area. We are currently looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on heavy machinery and foundry equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on various control systems including conveyors, motors, variable speed drives, and PLCs.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) routines and ensure equipment reliability.
- Perform minor modifications on PLC systems and electrical installations as and where needed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve long-term reliability and efficiency of equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and engineering procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilise a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log maintenance activities and manage work orders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A nationally recognised electrical apprenticeship (minimum level 3) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a heavy machinery or foundry environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills on electrical systems and experience with preventative maintenance.
- Familiarity with industrial electric motors, variable speed drives, and control systems.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
