Job Title:�Maintenance Engineer- NIGHTS

Location:�Manchester



About the Role:�We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our clients production site, involving both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. You will work closely with the production team to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and contribute to continuous process improvements.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Attend to breakdowns and perform fault finding, aiming for a "fix first time" approach.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and update associated documentation.

  • Work collaboratively with other engineers, providing support during major breakdowns.

  • Manage your tasks using their Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain housekeeping protocols.

  • Assist with machine training for production operatives and support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Lead or support engineering projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, quality, and safety.



Skills & Qualifications:




  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

  • HNC qualification or equivalent in engineering; NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is preferred.

  • Electrical or multiskilled background with an electrical bias is highly desired.

  • Strong communication and time management skills.

  • A proactive, positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.



Shift Pattern:




  • Monday-Friday- 10pm-6am

  • No Weekend Work!
