Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Industry: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)

Location: Yate

Salary: �50,300 per annum

Shift Pattern:

• Rotating 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights)


• 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights, 3 off, 3 days on, 3 off, 3 nights on, 8-day break


• Short break at Christmas


• Overtime available but not mandatory, with opportunities to earn well


• 18 days holiday

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.


• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.


• Implement and oversee maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.


• Collaborate with the production team to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.


• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving to resolve production interruptions promptly.


• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Work with external contractors as necessary, overseeing their work to ensure it meets company standards.


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.


• Ensure spare parts inventory is adequately stocked and managed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in the FMCG industry.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.


• Relevant qualifications in engineering or maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
