Maintenance Engineer

A Maintenance Engineer is required for a prominent player in the industrial / manufacturing sector. This role is to ensure the safe continuous production of the plant by swiftly responding to any equipment failures and to implement an effective preventative maintenance programme.

Description

• Inspect, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment (steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, agitators)
• Maintenance and repairs of electrical plant equipment where necessary
• Identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Work with the engineering team to improve equipment efficiency and reliability
• Provide technical support to the production team
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Document maintenance and repair work
• Respond to emergency breakdowns as required

Profile

A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:

• ONC or Equivalent (C&G L3) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
• Electrical Qualification
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial / manufacturing industry
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing equipment
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
