Maintenance Engineer

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will work a rotating 4O4O pattern days & nights shift pattern. The role is factory-based, so you'll be working in a busy FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical.

In your first few weeks in this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Ensure that Engineering maintenance is carried out in line with scheduled plans and effective and efficient corrective action is taken
• Quick and effective response to breakdowns in more than one area onsite, where possible identifying root causes and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns occurring
• Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Section Manager and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption
• Follow good engineering standards and good hygiene practices for the department

To apply for this Maintenance Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
• Level 3 NVQ in electrical or mechanical engineering - military equivalents will be considered
• 4+ years of engineering experience
• Electrical or Welding /fabrication experience
• Familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment and the ability to fault find
• Mechanical fitting skills
