Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency of production and manufacturing equipment ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members and departments where necessary.
  • Work closely with the production team to identify areas for efficiency improvements and implement changes to enhance performance.
  • Respond quickly to any emergencies or breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs for compliance and analysis purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualification in electrical engineering (HNC, HND, NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, preferably within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and fault-finding techniques.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including nights and weekends when required.
