Our client, a multinational manufacturing company located near Bebington, Wirral, that offers clear career progression and funded courses, is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer. The shifts are 2 days, 2 nights 4 off. Then after 7 rotations, you get 18 days off. Vacancy overview



You'll be part of a dedicated team of 10 skilled engineers. While the role has primarily been reactive, the company is now transitioning to a more planned and proactive maintenance approach. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on engaging project work.





Duties




  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspecting, testing, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment to identify root causes of failures.

  • Collaborate with production operators and other departments to prioritise and address maintenance needs promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities using the company's maintenance management system.

  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and processes to enhance efficiency and safety.

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to optimise production processes.





Required experience




  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in engineering or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
