Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Client's dynamic engineering maintenance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.

Shifts Week 1 - 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday Week 2 - 6am - 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer
Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault-finding tasks on mechanical, electrical, and automated machinery.
Diagnose and repair breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise production downtime.
Ensure all equipment and systems comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including service reports and inventory of spare parts.
Ensure effective communication with team members, supervisors, and contractors when necessary.
Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as required.
Person Specification of a a Maintenance Engineer
Qualifications : NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Flexibility regarding shift work.
Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
