Our client, a leading multinational manufacturing firm near Stevenston in North Ayrshire, is committed to investing in its employees and is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to join its dedicated team of 20. This role offers a varied mix of reactive maintenance, planned upkeep, and exciting project work.

  • Salary: £49,000 - £52,000

  • Shifts: Week 1: Monday-Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday-Thursday

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:




  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, testing, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Conducting preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with machinery and equipment, identifying root causes of failures.

  • Collaborating with production operators and other departments to prioritise and address maintenance needs promptly.

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities using the company’s maintenance management system.

  • Recommending improvements to maintenance procedures and processes to enhance efficiency and safety.

  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.

  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to optimise production processes.





Required Experience:




  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in engineering or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the manufacturing industry.

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to efficiently resolve equipment issues.
