Maintenance Engineer - Nights

An outstanding opportunity is now available for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, to join the Maintenance department, within a well-established manufacturing facility in Corby. A highly competitive package is available.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance of plant and equipment
• Identifying, diagnosing and fixing faults and breakdowns
• Carrying out of planned Preventative Maintenance
• Facilitating and executing continuous improvement activities
• Liaising with Engineering Manager to plan corrective actions
• Prioritising and managing workload to ensure minimum impact on production efficiency
• Completion of paperwork
• Supporting all manufacturing facilities as required
• Overtime is available at an enhanced rate

What skills will you need?

The right person will be highly motivated, flexible, reliable and experienced, with a focus on continuous improvement.

• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
• Experience/further education in engineering
• Experience of PLC systems for fault finding and minor programming modifications
• Experience using and installing Variable Speed Drives VSD's
• Excellent communication skills, and able to balance conflicting demands
• Must be fluent in English at a Technical level
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Computer literate
• Basic Health and Safety and Basic Food Hygiene Qualifications
• Experience and knowledge of delivering CI activities
• Knowledge of up-to-date maintenance techniques and policies
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Maintenance in the FMCG food industry (desirable)

The successful candidate will work on a permanent night shift, from Sunday to Thursday, 22:00-06:00.
