We are seeking an additional electrically biased engineer for a days based role in Kings Lynn. This business designs and manufactures equipment predominantly for the food manufacturing industry. You will support the design, development and maintenance of automated systems. You will be fully involved in the project cycle, from initial design and hardware specification to site installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.
Your new role
You will design, develop and implement PLC and HMI software for various automation projects, working closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure system integration and functionality. You will work closely with project teams performing site visits for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of automation systems. You will ensure high quality through constant monitoring and inspection of electrical systems and product functionality. You will compile electrical manuals, ensuring clarity and accuracy ready for customer handover.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be qualified and experienced in the field of electrical engineering and computer engineering, have working experience of PLC and HMI programming with a good understanding of electrical control systems including power distribution, motor control and instrumentation. You will have experience with electrical hardware components and control panel design principles and have the ability to read and understand product schematics, assembly instructions, and electrical drawings.
What you'll get in return
Working Monday to Friday 07.00 - 15.30 (40) hours, salary £42-45k, enhanced pension, 25+8 holidays, overtime rates, life assurance and more.
