Maintenance Engineer
Location: Preston
Up to £42,000
Full-time | Monday - Friday | 08:00 - 17:00
My client are looking for a skilled professional to join their team, ensuring their manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Diagnosing faults, resolving production issues, and repairing equipment quickly.
Improving production processes, materials, and tools to enhance efficiency.
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on machinery.
Ensuring all employees follow safety and operational procedures.
Coordinating maintenance and repair services to minimise downtime.
Creating and managing maintenance procedures in line with food safety standards.
Providing engineering support to maximise production efficiency.
Implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Maintaining strict adherence to Health & Safety and food safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
Must-haves:
Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work logically and systematically.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience in the food/FMCG manufacturing industry.
Project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
