Maintenance Manager (Water & Fuels System) – If you are a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager with a passion for excellence, if so, we invite you to join our team at the United States Air Force, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron, RAF Lakenheath.

We are looking for someone with the leadership and experience to supervise and manage the Water/Wastewater and Fuels Sections.

About the role:

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating work assignments, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations, and maintaining a harassment-free work environment. Your role will involve establishing deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, coordinating with supporting or related work functions, and determining the necessary resources for specific projects. Your hours of work will be 39 hours per week where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organisation’s flexible working policies.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan work assignments based on general work schedules
  • Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences
  • Coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors.
  • Determine the number and types of workers needed for specific projects
  • Adhere to safety regulations and practises

About you:

As the Maintenance Manager you will have knowledge and experience within a similar role within Water, Wastewater and Fuels. Experience in planning and managing workforce and projects. Have a safety-conscious mindset and understanding of safety regulations. The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications is crucial. Proficiency in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools is essential. Strong organisational skills to plan and organise and effective oral and written communication abilities are also required. You may be required to drive a motor vehicle. Hold a valid driver’s license, Category B driving license is required. You will need to be flexible as it may be required for you to work overtime or holidays on short notice. Please note: this role requires working inside and outside, including standing, walking, climbing, and light lifting. Incumbent will be exposed to weather, high noise levels, dust, fumes while making visits and inspections of work sites etc.
