A newly built waste management facility is seeking a Maintenance Manager to ensure the maintenance of the site is managed well and the environment is maintained safely and within budget. The Maintenance Manager will have previous experience working at a similar managerial level ideally with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process experience. In addition the Maintenance Manager will need to have expertise in heavy equipment, PLCs, hydraulics, and have proven experience in leadership, organisational and H&S skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support and mentor the team by finding barriers that prevent them from working in a safe, standard and efficient manner
Manage contractors and implement service contracts
Manage and monitor budget and KPIs
Manage, motivate and develop the engineering team - making sure that the right resources are in place to provide an efficient and effective service
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Proven experience as maintenance manager or supervisor
Solid understanding of technical aspects of heavy equipment, hydraulics and PLC
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organisational and leadership abilities
Demonstrable H&S experience
Desirables:
Experience working with PLC based control systems
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) programs
Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Process
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DOE + OT (OTE £65,000)
