Maintenance Operative (South West London)
Outsource is currently seeking a Maintenance Operative on behalf of our client for a Maintenance Operative to work within the South West London and Surrey Areas. Our client is a commercial property manager that currently manages 18 locations totalling over 1,100 clients occupants spread over 500,000 sq ft of Flexible Workspace.
Purpose of the role
Maintenance Operatives take responsibility for general property maintenance tasks toensure that our buildings are kept in a good state of repair and are appropriately maintained to ensure that they are of a suitable high quality for our tenants at all times. This including doing both planned and unplanned repairs, dilapidation and redecoration work to a high standard, and liaising with specialist contractors such as electricians and
builders from time to time. This job requires a proactive approach to maintenance activities, and Operatives are expected to work cooperatively with the Centre Managers from daily job sheets, but also identify remedial work that may need to be done and flag same to Centre Managers or the General Manager to schedule accordingly.
Duration: Permanent
Annual Salary: £26,000 - £32,000
Location: South West London and Surrey Areas
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (possible overtime available)
Holidays: 23 days annual leave plus public holidays
Duties include:
Minor repair works to walls, partitions, ceilings and floors.
Moving internal partitioning for units within buildings.
Undertake any other maintenance tasks or work activities which are reasonably requested by management from time to time and which are within the reasonable scope of a Maintenance Operative’s skill set.
Using a good range of hand and electric tools.
Conducting daily safety checks (e.g. fire doors) to flag deficiencies and the need for corrections following external risk assessments.
Conducting daily evening walk rounds in buildings to check vehicle gates and locking doors etc (needs will vary by building) to minimize the risk of call outs.
Requirements:
Valid Driving license
Must have own vehicle (with Business Insurance in place)
Right to work in uk
Previous experience in Maintenance
