Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Doncaster

Shifts: Days regular

Salary: �50,000 - �55,000 per annum

Metalis are working in partnership with our client in Doncaster, who are looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor/Lead Maintenance Fitter to add to their team. The company is a heavy engineering recycling company, who are looking to expand their maintenance department with the help of the newly appointed candidate.

The lead maintenance fitter will actively lead a team of maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operations of site.

Job Role:

  • Provide hands on leadership to the maintenance team, working alongside them 80% of the time.
  • Training and developing of maintenance staff to enhance skillsets to build capacity.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are performed effectively and in compliance with all health & safety standards.
  • Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance work.
  • Respond promptly to machine breakdowns, mitigating potential hazards and interruptions.
  • Review and embed PPM's across site to ensure they are relative and effective and in order to improve production across site.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant and mobile plant to identify areas for improvement and compliance.
  • Conduct all admin duties as needed such as managing department budgets, monitoring the inventory of stocks and spares and liasing with external contractors and suppliers.

Job Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained in a relevant engineering discipline with extensive experience within a maintenance role and lead role.
  • Preferably from a heavy plant background.
  • Broad range of practical skills including welding, burning, maintenance and repairing.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and safety regulations.
