Maintenance Supervisor opportunity with a leading manufacturer of materials across UK & Ireland

Perfect role for a Lead Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor who would like to take on a new challenge, overseeing a small maintenance team and day to day management of the maintenance function.

It's expected you will be 50/50 hands on, taking leadership of the team, assigning daily tasks, making improvements, organising parts and managing the budget.

Working Monday to Friday Days 7 - 4 Mon to Thurs and 7 - 3 Fri, with an on call rota (paid). Strong salary package is on offer and can be discussed at application stage.

The Role:


You will be responsible for leading a small team of maintenance engineers, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of machinery and equipment. You will play a crucial role in planning maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to maximize productivity.

  • Lead and manage a small team of maintenance engineers and technicians
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Manage budgets and control costs effectively

  • Oversee contractors and third-party service providers when required

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

  • Organise parts and stores efficiently

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a Lead Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisory/ Managerial

  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background in manufacturing settings

  • Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ or equivalent)

  • Experience in managing and developing a team

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
