Our client is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Technician tomaintain factory equipment and assembly processes, monitor and check the product quality and document results. The ideal candidate will strive to achieve maximum effectiveness of machinery and equipment by minimising downtime to support the operation.
Main Role and Responsibilities
To ensure efficient production through maintenance of assets, assured technical capabilities and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
They ensure products are produced exactly as intended and are free of defects.
Perform equipment setup, operation, equipment adjustments and minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
To run tests on all assemblies and equipment to test for safety and productivity before they are put into production.
In testing assemblies and equipment, the Manufacturing Technician identifies any problems, they must identify potential solutions and attempt to troubleshoot the issue using their technical knowledge.
Setting up and operating different machines, running, and monitoring the output of machine tools, a highly automated manufacturing cell or process.
Keep equipment in good working order by performing regular inspection, cleaning, servicing along with routine and preventative maintenance to make sure the machine or process never breaks down.
Keep maintenance logs for all the machines or process they oversee, which requires proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Skills and Attributes
A time served engineer with minimum HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline is essential.
Excellent trouble-shooter with the ability to resolve problems effectively and within a cost effect manner
Confident decision maker who understands the commercial implications of decisions
