Maintenance Technician

This Maintenance Technician position is with a nationally leading chemical manufacturing company specialising in the manufacture of synthetic resins. The main purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to ensure the safe and continuous production of the plant by swiftly responding to any equipment failures and to implement an effective preventive maintenance programme.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
To resolve any unplanned breakdowns in a safe and expedient manner.
To provide service and repairs of plant equipment where necessary.
Testing and calibrating to Quality Control specifications.
Responding to required corrective and preventive action in a timely manner.
Testing and calibrating to Quality Control specifications.

To be successful in this position as Maintenance Technician the right candidate must have a Practical hands-on attitude and a desire to work alone unattended as well as with other disciplined members to improve company processes. It will also be expected of the successful candidate to have a flexible approach to working, previous experience in a similar role and possess a relevant qualification.
