Jackson Hogg is excited to be supporting a well-known manufacturer in County Durham in their support for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintenance activities across site, mainly focusing on Mechanical breakdowns, repair and maintenance.
Working in a busy and fast paced environment, you will be responsible for:

• Pumps, Pneumatics and Hydraulics repair and maintenance


• Basic Welding and Burning repairs


• Some tooling and hand work such as lathes and milling


• Basic electrical work


• Supporting site PPM strategy

The ideal candidate will:

�

• Be fully time served with a minimum level 3 qualification and ideally a HNC. Demonstratable experience in manufacturing post apprenticeship is most desired.


• Have experience in fast moving environments such as Automotive, Food or packaging but Heavier industries such as Steel or Metals would be considered. They are generally open on industry background

Those with a strong Multi Skilled background with equal Mechanical and Electrical skills would be highly desired. This is a busy role with a range of equipment on site. The site runs well with a mix of older and new kit and a range of both Reactive, Planned, Preventative and Project focused Maintenance work.
