Maintenance Technician
Salary £48,000 per annum
Hours 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm & Friday 7.30am to 2.00pm
Location Postcode NG2 3JH
As a Maintenance Technician, you will carry out maintenance activities safely, efficiently and with minimal negative environmental impact.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week; however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
- Participating in department training, development and staff appraisals
- Assisting the Maintenance Team Leader with mechanical and rotating equipment repairs and keeping detailed history records
- Being on call and to change working patterns where necessary in order to meet the needs of the business
- Building and maintaining a culture of team work where team members progress towards operational and maintenance dual-skilling
- Ensuring equipment compliance with the environmental management system and consent requirements
- Quality controlling all work associated with the Department
- Participating in department training, development and staff appraisals
- Carrying out all equipment monitoring controls
- Implementing health, safety and environmental management policies
What were looking for
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance/defect repair on: Overhead Cranes, Grabs, Pumps, Fans, Mechanical Drives & Assemblies and other equipment related to the site
- An understanding and the ability to read Electrical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic/P&ID and isometric diagrams
