Management Accountant

Six Degrees are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Management Accountant working within a successful owner-managed business with a turnover of approximately �20 million. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in not only overseeing finances but also supporting the Directors in driving business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the finance department and collaborating with the management team

Reviewing and optimising current processes, billing functions, and procurement

Managing relationships with external stakeholders such as banks and lenders

Contributing to business growth and future strategy alongside the Managing Director

Regularly updating KPIs, preparing financial reports, and monitoring cash flow

Weekly financial monitoring information

Cashflow forecasts

Developing strategies to improve the timing of cash inflows and put in place stricter credit control procedures.

Helping create company budgets for the different departments.

Checking supplier invoices and cross checking against agreed contract prices where applicable

Purchase invoices are approved and assigned to a job before signing off

The ideal candidate should be:

- 'Qualified by experience' or hold a professional qualification such as ACMA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA

- Experienced at a similar level in a fast-paced service sector

- Skilled in improving KPIs, reporting, and systems

- Possess strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and strategic thinking abilities
