Management Accountant

Management Accountant Maternity Cover Belfast Up to £45,000 Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a Management Accountant for our client, who are a well known & established organisation in Belfast, ranked as Top 100 list of Northern Ireland companies. The role will be a Maternity Cover contract, offering an immediate start and a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. Your new role Produce monthly management accounts. Reconciliation & closure of subsidiary ledgers. Preparation & posting of monthly journals. Timely & accurate submission of the monthly Composite report. Conduct a full monthly reconciliation and evidenced review of all balance sheet accounts. Reconciliation and follow up of unpaid manufacturer bonuses. Implement financial controls by interpreting and reviewing current balances and reconciliations. Prepare monthly submissions to the group as required. Handle statutory returns, such as EC Sales lists, VAT returns, and statistical surveys. Assist the financial controller with monthly reviews (e.g., KPI/Expenses/Profit Reports) and ad hoc projects. Ensure proper internal controls in line with procedures. Assist in the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts. What you'll need to succeed Professional Qualification: A full qualification with a professional accounting body (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) is essential. At least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced accounting or audit environment. Working knowledge of computerised systems and proficiency in MS Office are required.
