You will be part of the outsourcing function of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services team. The outsourcing team serves as an extension of our clients’ finance team, supporting them in meeting their bookkeeping and compliance needs. We ensure that our clients reporting is timely and accurate and therefore forms a sound basis for clients to fulfil their tax and reporting obligations with consequent benefits for society.We’re happy to talk flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares, we’ll support you to balance your work and life.A look into the role As a Business Process Outsourcing Manager within our Financial Accounting Advisory Team (FAAS), you will be:Working with the existing leadership to gain an in-depth understanding of the business and processesLeading and inspiring our people in taking the business forward through change and growthLeading business growth by supporting existing leadership with various initiatives such as identifying and converting opportunities to offer outsourcing solutions, writing proposals, building external network of clients and presenting in external / internal events.Manage a portfolio of interesting clients with varying degrees of complexity, giving you exposure to different business sectors, ensuring quality, timeliness of delivery and profitability.Perform technical reviews of management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns and electronic payment files and manage associated risk.Being able to develop strong understanding of firm’s policies and working within the established guidelines of quality and risk management framework.Supporting the outsourcing team in India and UK, fostering a culture of coaching and development and rewarding great performanceBeing approachable and accessible and providing technical support and guidanceBeing responsible for team finances and liaising with stakeholdersBeing a point of escalation for clients, taking the lead in conversations where requiredKnowing you’re right for us Joining us as a Business Process Outsourcing Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:Experience of successful sales and business development to support the growth of a businessExperience of coaching and leading othersAn understanding of finance functions to include UK GAAP/ FRS101 / FRS102Excellent communication to manage both client & delivery team relationshipsIt would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CA or CIPFA).Experience of sales and business development within an advisory environment.Business development experience in outsourcing would be added advantage.Experience of onboarding and managing large outsourcing assignmentsKnowing we’re right for youEmbracing uniqueness, the culture at Grant Thornton thrives on the contributions of all our people, we never settle for what is easy, we look beyond to deliver the right thing, for everyone.  Building an inclusive culture, where we value difference and respect our colleagues helps our people to perform at the best of their ability and realise their potential.Our open and accessible culture means you’ll interact with leaders who are interested in you and everything you bring to our firm.
