Our client is a leading property services business and seeking a Managing Director for its Facilities Management (FM) business to lead corporate growth and achieve strategic objectives. The successful candidate will spearhead efforts to expand the FM division, doubling turnover by 2027. This role requires a strong leader with deep experience in hard services, engineering, or total facilities management (TFM) within the property services sector.





Function:



The Managing Director will oversee business operations, drive financial growth, and lead strategic initiatives across the FM division. Operating within a matrix and senior leadership environment, the role involves ensuring operational efficiency, managing key client relationships, and fostering business development, including securing profitable contracts.





Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Growth Leadership:



Develop and execute strategies to achieve a �100m turnover by 2027.



Identify and pursue new market opportunities and drive innovation in services.



Business Development:



Win profitable work and secure recurring contracts worth at least �10m.



Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at C-suite and investor levels.



Operational Efficiency:



Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement.



Ensure excellent service delivery across all projects and contracts.



Team Leadership:



Inspire, motivate, and guide teams to meet and exceed business goals.



Foster a collaborative working environment, demonstrating collegial leadership.



Client and Stakeholder Management:



Manage relationships with both public and private sector clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.



Act as the primary point of contact with investors, demonstrating credibility and gravitas.



Financial Oversight:



Ensure the FM business meets profitability and financial targets, managing budgets effectively.



Monitor and drive margin improvement across all business streams.



Market Expertise:



Stay updated on industry trends, particularly within hard services/engineering and TFM, to inform business decisions and strategy.



Leverage extensive experience in managing public and private sector clients.
