Company & Project: An award winning Main Contractor with a new project win valued at c�100m have a unique opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their business leading a flagship project in Essex.
The company are looking for a candidate that has experience managing others and is looking to make a decisive step in their career. They will consider experienced candidates looking for a step up or proven Managing QS candidates. The role includes both managing a small team with hands on surveying on a key project.
There is a pathway for career development and progressing within the senior leadership team in the business.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the commercial management functions on a c�100m project which is currently live on site. Key duties include: producing CVRs, managing team workload to include applications for payment from sub-contractors, variations and preparation of final accounts.
You will also be expected to report at a senior level to directors and help build the team and overall growth of the region.
Desirable Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior or Managing on projects c�50m+ .
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous.
- Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Managing QS OR Commercial Manager OR Lead Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
