Managing Quantity Surveyor – Major Urban Regeneration Project (500 Units)

Location: South East London  | Rate: £400-£550 per day (Temp to Perm Option)

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on a high-profile £300m urban regeneration project in South East London. This 500-unit development is a significant step forward in transforming the area, and we are looking for a highly skilled QS to oversee its successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the cost management for the entire project, ensuring budget control, forecasting, and cost reporting are accurate.


• Lead the procurement process, including managing subcontractor packages, and oversee all contract negotiations.


• Ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget by managing key milestones and deadlines.


• Monitor and manage project risks, working with the project team to resolve any issues swiftly.


• Liaise with clients, contractors, and the wider team, maintaining strong communication to drive the project forward.


• Provide expert advice on cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or safety.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in managing large-scale urban regeneration or housing projects.


• Demonstrable success in working with reputable contractors or developers.


• Strong knowledge of contract forms, particularly JCT and NEC.


• Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate across teams and manage client relationships effectively.


• A hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail, ensuring smooth execution from pre-construction through to project completion.


• Available for immediate start, with flexibility for temp or temp-to-perm.
