Manufacturing Engineer

Our Engineering client is seeking a talented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating programs for CNC machines to manufacture components and providing engineering support in a dynamic manufacturing environment. To excel in this role, you should possess strong machining skills, have lean manufacturing experience, and an in-depth understanding of engineering principles, processes , and strategies.
Responsibilities as Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Develop and create programs for CNC machines to manufacture components
  • Provide engineering support for production and process improvement
  • Design operating instructions, and layouts
  • Provide front-line support for program and machine errors
  • Implement process improvements and support project teams
  • Develop strategies for efficient manufacturing processes
  • Utilise MRP and ERP systems to optimise production schedules
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project completion

Qualifications and experience required as Manufacturing Engineer :
  • HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
  • Proven experience in a lean manufacturing engineering role
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages and machine shop processes
  • Advanced skills in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems is a plus
Day-to-Day dutires for Manaufacturing:
  • Creating CNC programs for manufacturing components
  • Providing engineering support and troubleshooting production issues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Developing strategies for efficient manufacturing processes
  • Using CAD software to design tooling, operating instructions, and layouts
  • Utilizing MRP/ERP systems to optimize production schedules
