Manufacturing Engineer

The basics:

Role: Manufacturing Engineer - project planning department

Location: Wickford

Salary: �40000 to �50000

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8.00-17.00. (Breaks 10.00-10.15, 13.00-13.30 and 15.00-15.10)

Friday 7.30-12.30. (Break 10.00-10.15)

Overview:

We now require an additional Manufacturing Engineer to join the planning department. Working in modern purpose built manufacturing facilities for a company that manufacture precision engineered components.

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be tasked to create manufacturing plans and BOM's for all new parts.

You will be working in a first class precision engineering environment that have processes such as machining, fabrication, heat treatment and a number of out sourced processes also.

The ideal candidate / Manufacturing Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

1. Qualified to HNC level.

2. Knowledge of precision engineering processes - CNC machining, Manual Machining, Fabrication such as press brake, sheet metal etc. , surface treatments.

3. Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills.

4. Competence in Office particularly Excel, Word and Project.

5. Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems

6. Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.

7. Capable of working un-supervised and using own initiative.

9. Good eye for detail with a methodical approach to the task in hand.

10. Confident communicator with strong customer focused skills
