Major Recruitment are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer for a client in Leeming Bar area. Our client is a well-established manufacturing businesses with an impeccable reputation for quality of products and services.
Due to substantial growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

Duties:
- Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant - includes pneumatic and hydraulics
- Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture and familiar with safe system of work (Permit to Work systems)
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
- Strong communication and organisational skills - able to provide detailed shift reports
- Experience of working as part of a Maintenance Team on a manufacturing site
- Demonstrate effective systematic problem-solving skills
- Able to work autonomously and react quickly in a high-pressure situation
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Role Requirements:
- 2 Years+ Electrical / Electronic Practical Production Engineering Experience.
- Proven track record in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiative
- Proficient in electronic fault finding, soldering, and electrical wiring
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D)
- Competent in electronic fault finding.
- Understanding of safe working practices.
- Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving.
- PC literate and competent computer skill
- Flexibility
