Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £26,000 - £35,000
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement? Were looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our Operational Excellence team . This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our industry-leading lasers are built and tested to the highest standards.
What Youll Be Doing:
Providing day-to-day support to production lines, tackling problems and finding root causes.
Optimising processes and equipment to improve efficiency and production yield.
Assisting engineers with new process implementation and product qualification .
Ensuring equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and calibrated .
Creating process documentation , including work instructions and workflows.
What Were Looking For:
Essential:
Experience in manufacturing, service, or repair industries .
A practical, hands-on approach with an understanding of production processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and methodical thinking .
Competent IT skills .
Nice to Have:
Experience in Lean Manufacturing .
Worked in cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with machine and equipment repairs .
Qualifications:
Technical qualifications in engineering or science are ideal, but equivalent experience will be considered.
