Manufacturing Manager

Shillito Executive Search are pleased to be working with a high-volume manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire, operating as part of a global manufacturing group, as they look to recruit a Manufacturing Manager, in what is a newly created role for the business.

Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, we're looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager with experience of working within a high-volume production environment.

As part of the role of Manufacturing Manager, you would be expected to:

• Lead and manage the manufacturing operations, ensuring high-volume production targets are consistently met.
• Oversee and support a team of Shift Managers and a workforce of 100+ employees.
• Implement and maintain best manufacturing practices, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor production efficiency, quality control, and safety standards to improve output.
• Develop and deliver operational strategies aligned with business goals.
• Drive a strong culture of employee engagement, teamwork, and professional development.
• Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations, quality management systems, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments to enhance production capabilities and problem-solve operational challenges.
• Manage budgets, cost control, and resource planning to maximise efficiency.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership role within a high-volume production environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of successfully leading teams.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with teams at all levels.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, health & safety, and compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Due to the fast-paced nature of the role, this could suit someone from an FMCG, Food or Pharmaceutical manufacturing background
