Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Barker Ross are recruiting for a leading provider in the precast sector, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join their dynamic team at our Worksop factory.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, and continuously driving improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion quality and safety within the team, promoting a positive safety culture that prioritises engagement and collaboration.
  • Deliver daily activity briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to ensure clarity and understanding of safety and work instructions.
  • Regularly monitor the health and well being of the team, ensuring they are fit for work and referring concerns to the Production Leader when needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, controlling materials, waste, and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assess team competence, identify skills gaps, and provide training and mentoring to enhance team capabilities.
  • Act as a role model for productivity, managing break times and shift schedules effectively to maximise efficiency.
  • Report on successes and areas for improvement, ensuring continuous learning and following procedures for incidents and accidents.
  • Provide performance feedback, identifying talent, and supporting team members in their development.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a team leader in a workforce environment, ideally within manufacturing or precast.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, and health & safety protocols.
  • IOSH Managing Safely Level 3 (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Experience with accident/incident investigations and management of occupational health risks.
  • Competence in using the iGMS system and an understanding of productivity improvement tools such as Collective Insights and PvA's.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
