Responsibilities in your new role as a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer

The role involves collaborating with engineers and designers to design and manufacture jigs and fixtures, devising and implementing manufacturing methods, and automating production processes. Responsibilities include producing small batch components, creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings, maintaining production equipment, and conducting first article inspections. The candidate will ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, assemble tools, operate CNC and conventional machinery, and utilise precision measurement instruments. Additionally, they will review production methods for efficiency, troubleshoot machine issues, and uphold lean processes within the production area.
Your personality, experience and qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Tooling Engineer role will work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. You should have experience with CNC and conventional machining, capable of producing and inspecting components from ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Proficiency in using inspection tools, fault finding in electrical and pneumatic systems, and familiarity with lean manufacturing principles are essential.
