Location: Gosport
Salary: £37,352pa
Working Hours: 39 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit a Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Gosport depot.
Duties and responsibilities:


  • Continually improve the way they contribute to the business.
  • Ensure that they are best equipped to support future change.
  • Ensure that they work in an effective collaborative manner with staff, displaying the appropriate behaviours at all times.
  • To instruct Electrical & Electronic principles training in accordance with the Training Plan and Training Standing Operating Procedures.
  • To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
  • To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance.
  • To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
  • To carry out equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
  • Ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.


Qualifications and experience:


  • Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
  • Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction to phase 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses with an awareness of Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance, Damage Control and Waste Processing.
  • Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian electrical and electronic environment (ideally within last 5 years).
  • Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering based training courses.
  • Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of Level 3 engineering in relevant subject matter.
  • Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
