My client, a Hedge Fund consultancy seeks to hire a skilled Market Data Analyst looking to make a significant impact in the financial sector. If you are passionate about leveraging technology to enhance market data processes and are eager to take on diverse challenges, this opportunity is for you!Responsibilities -Support Desk Operations: Provide close support to the desk on issues related to market data, manage BAU activities, and handle small projects to meet broader business needs.Automation Initiatives: Identify and implement opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.Innovative Solutions: Propose new processes, tools, and approaches to solve business problems and enhance user experiences.Functional Specifications: Define new functionality required by projects across front, middle, and back offices.Knowledge Management: Continuously improve knowledge through better documentation and knowledge management practices.Issue Investigation: Investigate complex functional software issues, perform root cause analysis, and establish effective solutions.Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, flagging major issues early.Decision Making: Make informed recommendations and judgments on various situations.On-Call Participation: Participate in on-call rotations until 11pm CET (Mon-Fri) one day out of five.Qualifications -Financial Market Experience: Previous experience with financial market domain companies such as funds, investment banks, brokers, market infrastructure, and data/platform vendors.Technical Expertise: Strong background in SQL and data interrogation, with hands-on experience in Python.Asset Class Knowledge: Experience with different asset classes (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives) and a solid understanding of their features and life cycle.Proactive Learning: Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn.Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication style.Preferred Skills -Buy Side Experience: Previous experience working on the buy side.Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities.High Volume Datasets: Experience working with high-volume datasets.Market Data Systems: Familiarity with market data systems and financial data providers like Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P, etc.Process Documentation: Experience in process documentation.We would love to hear from you if you meet the above criteria and are ready to advance your career with a forward-thinking organization.Apply now to join our client’s team and contribute to their ongoing success.
