Position: Marketing & Communications Officer

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £15 per hour (equivalent to 28,860 per annum)
Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time (37 hours per week)

Are you a creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for marketing and communications? We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority for a Marketing & Communications Officer to help raise the profile of their services and support their community initiatives.

About the Role:
As the Marketing & Communications Officer, you will be responsible for creating and delivering targeted campaigns to increase awareness of the organisation's services, events, and projects. You will develop and manage the organisation’s social media presence, coordinate marketing initiatives, and ensure all communications align with branding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies across digital and print platforms.

* Increase engagement and raise the profile of the organisation through innovative campaigns.

* Manage the website, social media accounts, and online content to ensure accuracy and regular updates.

* Work with community groups and local stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure cohesive communication.

* Create and distribute press releases, newsletters, and marketing materials.

* Promote community events and work closely with the events team to ensure successful campaigns.

* Build positive relationships with media outlets and act as the main point of contact for media enquiries.

What We Are Looking For:

* Proven experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.

* Strong proficiency in digital marketing, including social media management, SEO, and content creation.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to think creatively and strategically to deliver effective marketing campaigns.

* Experience working in public sector or community-focused organisations is a plus.

* Proficiency in design software (Canva) and website management systems (WordPress) is desirable.

* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
